Welcome!

Hi,

I will use this blog, mainly to keep myself focus on my goals and get help from fellows poker players to become a better player.

Each week I will post a result of the previous week and will take an hour to make some self analysis. Since this week I am starting I will make a short resume of where I start and what are my goals.

My history
I am a 21 years old french canadien (please don't hate!) that started playing poker when I was 14. I always liked the analogy beetween poker and chess. Any games that would make my brain work will make me pay for hours until I get good.

Pokerwise, it took me a while before I started being good. As soon as I was 18 I started playing on pokerstars, but I would constently lose my money because I had no clue of what bankroll management. I would deposit 20$ play couple of 3$ game win/lose some. Usually I would end up making a run, and moving up super quickly with 5-6 buy-ins until I lose it all.

Once I started reading more about poker, I realized how big of a deal bankroll management was. The next heater I made, I played with my money smarter and made a run until I reach 4000$. I remember how epic it was to see this number in my cashier. Unfortunatly, the next week end I faced my new ennemie: tilt! I ran super-duper-uber bad and lost 2k in one week-end. I would then cash-out the rest of it and take a break until my early 20s.

I started playing again on ftp, started with 50$ and kept multitabling 2$ 27 max until I reach 500-600$. To celebrate winter break, I paid myself a nice 10+1$ tournament with 3000 players... and ended up winning it :-D" 3.5k in one night! There I was, with this number again 4000$

I immidiatly cashout 1000$ (christmas gift :P). Then, I don't know what happen but I had no more fun playing. So I stopped and left all my money in moneybooker (2 month before ftp close !!!). Meanwhile, I decided to get married... so i took out another 2000$ !

And today... here I am with 1000$ left and the desire to finaly get passed this 4000$ barrier.

Goals
Let's start with 1 simple goal: win 100 buy-ins at the 180 players 8$ sng

Hope this was not too boring, see you next week
